Kick start your adventure by flying out to Toronto where you will have a 3 night hotel stay, but it doesn’t stop there. Whilst in Toronto we have arranged a full-day guided Niagara Falls tour for you. So you get to explore the wonder that is, Niagara Falls! Spend the next couple of days exploring all that Toronto has to offer, from the city’s most iconic landmark, the CN Tower, where you can get panoramic views of the city and Lake Ontario. To exploring the distillery district, a historic area filled with art galleries, boutiques and restaurants, the Distillery District is known for it’s 19th century architecture and the perfect spot for exploring!
After your time in Toronto you’ll hop on a flight to New York City, home to the iconic Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Central Park and so much more. Here you’ll have a 2 night stay in the heart of Manhattan, giving you time to hit all the tourist hot spots of this famous American City. Foodies can head to Joes for a slice of their famous pizza, historians can visit the Natural History Museum and sports fans can even catch the Knicks, Yankees, Giants or Rangers, depending on the time of year you choose to visit!
All of this before even stepping foot on a cruise ship. The next 7 nights will consist of exploring the best of Canada & New England, setting sail from New York you’ll be making your way to Newport, here you can visit the historic Newport Mansions, take a scenic ocean drive or cliff walk along the coast like with incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Next up is Portland, Maine, visit Old Port known for its historic cobblestone streets, boutique shops & try some incredible street food. Explore one of the most photographed lighthouses in the U.S., the Portland Head Light, located in Fort Williams Park. Your next port of call is Bar Harbour, make sure you head to Arcadia National Park for breath-taking views of the rugged Maine coastline. Maine, especially Bar Harbour, is famous for it’s fresh lobster, so it wouldn’t be right to stop in Bar Harbour without trying a lobster roll (or two!)
After Bar Harbour you’ll make your way to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Here you can spend the day visiting the Halifax Citadel, a star-shaped hilltop fort with panoramic views of the harbour. Stroll along the Halifax waterfront and stop by the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic to learn about the Titanic, or take a day trip to Peggy’s Cove, famous for its picturesque lighthouse.
Your final stop before heading back to New York City is St. John’s. Get stunning views of St. John’s harbour from Signal Hill, here you can also delve deep into the area’s military history. Explore Quidi Vidi Village, a charming fishing community with an artisanal brewery or head to the Johnson Geo Centre for geological exhibitions.
All of these incredible destinations rolled into one epic adventure, and we must say these sailings are departing at the best time of year. Fall in Canada & New England is incredibly picturesque, with leaves turning to browns and reds creating even more breath-taking views in many of the national parks and scenic roads and forests. Autumn also coincides with the lobster season in Maine, so the perfect time to try those lobster rolls we were talking about! With cooler temperatures fall makes it the perfect weather to go exploring around all the quaint towns of Canada & New England.
