Ambassador Cruise Line is a new cruise line and is the first new British cruise line to be launched since 2010. Its purpose is to inspire and delight every guest to enjoy an authentic cruise experience effortlessly, and sustainably.

Where does Ambassador Cruise Line sail?

Departing from London Tilbury and six other UK regional departure ports including Newcastle, Dundee, Liverpool, Belfast, Bristol and Falmouth, Ambassador Cruise Line offer a carefully curated no-fly programme of over 91 yearly sailings. Featured destinations will including the British Isles, the Norwegian Fjords, Greenland, the Arctic and Iceland, plus several short break cruises. For the winter months a range of exploration style voyages will sail to the Canaries, Cuba, the Caribbean, Cape Verde and Scandinavia. There are also a number of iconic voyages including our Inaugural Grand Round the World Cruise, Amazon & West Indies Adventure, Grand Canada & Greenland Experience, and Christmas & New Year in the West Indies & Dutch Antilles.

How does Ambassador Cruise Line look after guests?

Ambassador’s smaller to mid-sized classic cruise ships offer a higher space to guest ratio, making cruising more relaxed and providing guests with reassurance.

Ambassador’s health and safety mandate ensures the crew is vaccinated, and only fully vaccinated guests will be welcomed onboard. The cruise line also works closely with all destinations to adhere to local health guidelines and requirements.

Treating our guests right is not just about the booking and onboard experience. In accordance with The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, Ambassador have insurance cover in place to financially protect all guests booking with Ambassador Cruise Line, for all monies paid either directly or via their travel agent. In addition, Ambassador operate a fully independently managed Trust Account where guests’ funds are deposited and only released when the cruise departs. Ambassador’s offer also includes a booking guarantee in the event of a cancelled cruise.

Peace of mind is our priority here at Ambassador. We know how important it is to feel financially protected and to be able to book with confidence, and as an ABTA member (Y6765), we are part of the UK’s leading travel trade association, widely acknowledged as the mark of trust and reassurance associated with travel brands. In addition to being ABTA members, our guests are financially protected by a Financial Failure Insurance policy which is managed by TMU Management Limited and underwritten by Accelerant Insurance Europe SA who are regulated by the Financial Services and Markets Authority (3193).   We will continue to pay guests’ deposits and balance payments into an independently managed trust account.

We also guarantee the highest of health and safety standards, including a policy that requires all our guests and crew to be vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to sailing, subject to any exemptions*. You can relax knowing we have taken care of everything on board and are working closely with destinations to adhere to local health guidelines.

Here she is, our flagship of the fleet, our first lady of the sea: Ambience. Derived from the French word for ‘surrounding’, our ambition at Ambassador is to create the optimum atmosphere onboard; one that brings out the best in each of us. The perfect ambience.

With an average 1,400-guest capacity and careful configuration, she offers both a feeling of spaciousness and freedom, whilst retaining that sense of intimacy and camaraderie we each crave; it’s whatever makes you comfortable.

Terms and Conditions

The Ambassador Guarantee is available to guests that have not previously cruised with Ambassador Cruise Line, and are booking their first cruise aboard Ambience or Ambition. It is valid for new bookings only, made after 19th Jan 2024 for a duration of 4 nights or more. To take advantage of the Guarantee you must state your intention to leave the cruise, and the reason why, to the Hotel Director within 24 hours of your embarkation. Our onboard team will endeavour to resolve any issues within 24 hours from the time you notify them. If a solution cannot be agreed, Ambassador will cover the cost of transport to your point of embarkation at the next available port. The mode of repatriation will be at Ambassador’s discretion e.g. flights, rail, taxi plus one hotel night if needed. Ambassador is only responsible for the travel / hotel cost and nothing else, all other costs must be covered by you. Ambassador will refund the fare that you have paid for your cruise and pro-rated drinks package costs only. We will not refund any extra costs you have incurred on board of a personal nature i.e. drinks, gifts, shopping, laundry, spa, communications etc. We will not reimburse port parking or travel costs to the terminal or for items not purchased directly through Ambassador, such as overnight accommodation, travel insurance, visa’s or health certificates. Refunds will be made via the same channel that you used to book your cruise e.g. directly with Ambassador or via a travel agent. Refunds may take up to 14 working days to process. The Guarantee does not affect Ambassador’s standard booking conditions or pre-departure cancellation policy. Guarantee not available on Festive events or cruises under 4 nights. Not applicable to employees of Ambassador and their friends and family, suppliers, journalists, or any prize winners or concession booking. Refer a Friend scheme offers passengers & those refered FREE up to £250 on board credit. The on board credit amount varies dependning on the cruise duration booked. Refer a Friend and when they book for the first time, you’ll both receive… £50 Onboard Credit when they book a sailing from 7-14 nights £100 Onboard Credit when they book a sailing from 15-30 nights £150 Onboard Credit when they book a sailing from 31-50 nights £250 Onboard Credit when they book a sailing from 50+ nights
